6:00 PM – Youth event at Querini Pub & Restaurant. DJ OC, assisted by Jørund, will play music and create a great atmosphere.
Friday, June 26
10:00 AM – Festival radio (Radio Røst, 100.8 MHz) – also streamed online at www.radiorost.no.
In the studio: Elisabeth and Vigdis with guests. Review of the day’s program, music and interviews.
4:00 PM – 6:00 PM Exhibition of Göran Clareus’ photographs – Petra Henriksen House. The photos are from Røst in the early 1970s. Light refreshments served.
Organizer: Røst Historical Society. Entrance NOK 50 (free for children).
4:00 PM – 6:00 PM The Generation Games – across generations.
A friendly competition in various activities between teams consisting of children, youth, adults and seniors. Can the young do what the older generation can – and vice versa? Participants will have to help each other. Prizes will be awarded during the closing event on Sunday.
Location: Football field and outside the hall (weather permitting).
6:00 PM – Vassendgutane soundcheck, where they warmly welcome young people to listen in. For ages 10–17. Free admission.
8:30 PM – Doors open at Querinihallen.
9:00 PM Norway is playing in the Football World Cup, and many people want to watch the Norway vs France match. Therefore, there will be a football pub in Querinihallen where everyone is welcome. We will set up a large screen and broadcast the match live. Let’s cheer for Norway together and hope for victory!
11:00 PM – The legendary Vassendgutane take the stage and promise to create an amazing atmosphere. Put on your cowboy hats and boots and sing along at the top of your lungs.
Around 12:45 AM – Our local heroes Tuttuduru take over – and as always, they promise to keep the party going!
Serving ends at 2:00 AM and the hall closes at 2:30 AM. Only drink vouchers can be used at the bar, and unused vouchers will not be refunded.
Please note: It is prohibited to bring alcoholic beverages into the festival area.

Saturday, June 27

11:00 AM – Family show with Håvard Paulsen at Querinihallen.
Håvard Paulsen, known from NRK Super, performs fun experiments and musical antics. A cozy, exciting and explosive show for all ages.
Price: NOK 100 – also gives access to all activities for children and youth throughout the weekend.
12:00 PM – 4:00 PM Exhibition and café at Røst School and Community Center.
Many wonderful exhibitors, both local and visiting. Plenty to see and buy. The café will serve coffee, soft drinks, cakes, waffles and hot dogs.
12:00 PM – 2:30 PM Activities for children outside Querinihallen and on the football field.
Various activities for children of all ages. Sale of balloons, popcorn, cotton candy and soft drinks.
Price: NOK 100 – one-time payment giving access to all children/youth activities throughout the weekend (including the family show).
2:00 PM – Screening of “Røster” in the municipal council hall at the Town Hall.
The association Røster presents films. Since 2014, Tore Berntsen (www.visualdays.no) has created films about and with the people of Røst. Røster began as a contemporary documentation project and has now become a historical archive. Tore Berntsen will present two new films during this year’s festival.
Free admission.
3:00 PM – Rowing competition for children and youth (possibly adults too, if anyone wants to join).

Around 11:30 PM – The Italian group H1N1 Show Band has traveled to Røst to perform classic cover songs. Expect pop and rock hits from the 70s, 80s and 90s. Loud music and great vibes!

2:00 PM – Røst Tourism Manifesto presented by Marzia Liuzza, PhD student in Historical, Geographical and Anthropological Studies – University of Padova and Ca’Foscari University of Venice.
The Røst Tourism Manifesto is a co-created document developed through interviews with residents, supported scientifically by Marzia. It is a strategic tool that gathers ideas, expectations, values and concerns from the community and transforms them into clear principles and practical guidelines for sustainable and responsible tourism development. It does not replace the existing strategy, but strengthens it and aligns it even more closely with the island’s identity and priorities.
3:30 PM – 4:30 PM Author talk and conversation with writer and bird expert Martin Eggen in discussion with Mayor Elisabeth Miaklsen.
The conversation is based on the critically acclaimed book “Without Birds, Life Will Never Be the Same.” Through personal experiences, powerful encounters with nature and sharp observations, Eggen highlights birds as nature’s most important messengers. The event at Røst will be both a tribute to birdlife and an important reminder of what is at stake as the natural world around us changes.
5:00 PM – A spectacular festival finale at Querinihallen.
Entertainment by local heroes, café and lottery drawing. Sale of coffee, cakes, soft drinks, waffles, etc.
Prize ceremony for the Generation Games. Presentation of the four winners of the drawing competition, and thanks from the committee to everyone who contributed.
Håvard Paulsen will ensure a grand finale – 30 years must be celebrated with a bang! His show will be a tribute to the island, filled with both humor and dignity. There will definitely be some surprises as well.
7:00 PM – Concert at Røst Church with Mike Farris.
For this church concert, which concludes an active festival weekend, we have invited an artist all the way from Nashville, USA. Mike Farris is especially known for his intense and emotional concerts. Live, he can be both preaching, vulnerable and explosive – often with long, soulful vocal performances that give the audience goosebumps. Sit back and enjoy wonderful blues and soul music.
